SERMON SERIES: Prophets & Parables

  • Three Arts Club of Homeland 4 Wyndhurst Avenue Baltimore, MD 21210 (map)

There are many sections of the Scripture that communicate truth plainly and directly. They offer a direct line to our hearts and minds. But, much of the Scripture communicates truth in a different way. It communicates through picture, narrative, and story. It teaches through the back door of our hearts, inviting us to engage our imagination and emotions.

Jesus taught through parables, fictional stories that made you think. The prophets taught through poetry and through street theatre. We will spend time over the next few weeks looking at these creative ways of communicating God’s truth.
